To help advance the knowledge and awareness of the potential use of geothermal energy, shallow and deep as well as water energies to be definitively included in the formulating process of energy plans or policies of nations, countries, states, provinces, regions and other geographical or political entities.
-
One of the most important objectives of the Council is to establish and provide a common meeting place where the above listed problems and other current and rapidly developing new ideas can be discussed in person, in order to refine and advance existing policies, concerning and including geothermal energy.
-
To pursue and accomplish its goals the Council has established the World Geothermal & Water Energy Policy Forum.
-
The Forum convenes every year to be able to select and discuss important timely agenda for rapidly accelerating activities in the geothermal energy policy field.
-
The Council strives to develop a "Unified Strategic Vision" based on the resolutions of these forums and by its Journal of Geothermal & Water Energy Policy exclusively focusing on the policy aspects of geothermal and water energy, for the benefit of mankind.
-
Development of a “Unified Strategic Vision” concerning the inclusion of shallow and/or deep geothermal power in every energy plan and policy will help to eliminate the experience of ignorance, unawareness and lack of knowledge about this most efficient, most environment friendly and most economical type of renewable energy available anywhere in the World.
